Review: The Middle-Earth Saga (“The Hobbit” / “The Lord of the Rings”)

Before I begin this post, I want to shout out and dedicate this post to my amazing friends Rebecca Larsen and Elizabeth Coon. They made it there and back again through all 3 days and all 6 films alongside me until the very end! You two are amazing and it was one hell of a good time!  So the final Extended Edition of the Peter Jackson Middle-Earth films, “The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies” recently came out not…

Review: Doctor Who S9E11 — “Heaven Sent”

Review: Doctor Who S9E11 — “Heaven Sent”

Before I begin this review, I want to say that a lot of people have been complaining about spoilers on some of my previous articles, in particular last week’s on ‘Face the Raven’. So from now on, I’ll be saying out right: this article contains *SPOILERS* so fair warning here in particular for this episode. Anyway, moving on….. I’m at a loss for this one. A complete and total loss. In a very good way. This episode…..I’ll be honest blew…

The Struggles of Being an Overthinker

The Struggles of Being an Overthinker

Thinking is a good thing. An obvious statement but one that I don’t think is said enough in recent years. I would even argue that thinking is essential to get through life with some semblance of success. However, when does it become too much and start to become self-sabotage? Review: Doctor Who S910 — “Face The Raven”

Review: Doctor Who S910 — “Face The Raven”

After last week’s intriguing but ultimately misfire of an episode, I was really hoping that this week’s episode “Face the Raven” would turn up the heat and bring something truly memorable. This was (of course) before I found out that this would be Jenna Coleman’s last full episode as Clara Oswald and well…….to say the least this episode brings the heat and burns you. HARD!!!! S9E10 of Doctor Who is one gothically charged and atmospheric episode with an ending…

Review: Doctor Who S9E09 — “Sleep No More”

Review: Doctor Who S9E09 — “Sleep No More”

S9E09 of Doctor Who written by Mark Gatiss, “Sleep No More”,  is definitely a change in the season to say the very least. Not only is this episode the first non two-parter episode we’ve had this season so far, but we are getting a creepy base-under-siege story similar to “Under The Lake/Before the Flood” in the style of a found footage tape. UM…..not completely sure what to make of this one. It’s definitely a different and yet similar set up…

Review: Doctor Who S9E08 — “The Zygon Inversion”

Review: Doctor Who S9E08 — “The Zygon Inversion”

Talk about an episode living up to it’s title. After the grand scale and globe-trotting spectacle of the last episode “The Zygon Invasion”, I was expecting a continuation of that for the second part of this story, “The Zygon Inversion”. However, that’s not what this is at all and I would say in this case that I definitely like it. This second part inverts the story itself from being a worldwide global spy-invasion thriller to a much more personal…
