MISSION STATEMENT: Yoga is so much more than just a couple of fancy physical movements on a mat. It is a physical, mental, and spiritual lifestyle choice I never would’ve seen myself making 5 years ago and it has brought me to a better place with my life in every way. As I continue to grow as an eternal yogi and as a teacher, my mission always comes down to helping anyone who asks for it (including myself) explore new levels of possibility within themselves and guide them to a brighter place in their life as yoga has taught and guided me. For as Elizabeth Kubler-Ross said, “People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.”

YOGA TEACHER SUMMARY: I am a 200 Hour Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT) through Salt Lake Community College with a further certification coming as a hopeful long term goal. I am also registered as an 200-HR RYT through the Yoga Alliance Registry. I am well versed in a variety of yoga styles and traditions but through my experience with multiple teachers, mentors, classes, and experiences I have developed my own personal style of yoga and teaching that I call Regeneration Yoga or ‘Regen Yoga’ for short

Regen Yoga is a Jnana (Knowledge-Based) Vinyasaflow style of yoga with major elements of Hatha, Yin, and Ashtanga and minor elements of Kundalini, Iyengar and Power Yoga. The primary goal of this style is to allow us as yogis to get to know, accept, and regenerate our bodies through physical, mental, and spiritual yoga practices with an energetic awareness. It is an emphasis of many general concepts that are important to me as a teacher:

  1. Yoga is accessible to all.
  2. Yoga allows us to connect and flow with our energy.
  3. Yoga is centered around the full focus on the regulation of the breath through certain techniques and exercises. (Pranayama)
  4. Yoga brings us knowledge and acceptance of our body and what we ultimately need.
  5. Meditation is a strong and integral part of yoga.
  6. Yoga helps us find a physical balance between support and flexibility.
  7. Yoga involves observation, awareness, and mindfulness on and off the mat.
  8. Yoga encompasses the past, present, and future and encompasses all three.
  9. Yoga is enjoyable.
  10. Yoga is a lifestyle ultimately about unifying and regenerating our body, mind, and spirit.

Regen Yoga is a style that I’m hopeful will grow with me and I am grateful that this yogic journey will be a lifelong one for me. I feel blessed to be a student of yoga and am eternally grateful for the path that my teachers have guided me to which I am excited to share with you, my future students.

MEDITATION TEACHER SUMMARY: I am certified as a ‘CMT 100-HR’ instructor through The Dharana Method, an Approved Training Provider of the International Institute of Complementary Therapists. I am qualified to teach Yoga Sutras-inspired meditation (‘​dharana’ is one of the 8 limbs of yoga outlined in the ​Yoga Sutras of Patanjali) and focus-based meditation. That focus can be anything from mantra, to guided meditation, to breath, to sound, to visual, to walking, to mala, etc. This essentially covers any type of meditation.

I am also versed in basic Ayurveda and am equipped to help people find more resources for Ayurvedic balancing and healing. I am not an Ayurvedic counselor or practitioner but rather a Certified Meditation Teacher who utilizes Ayurveda in their approach. I am also very familiar with auras, chakras, and the Energetic Body. I love to help people find their true and inner self through mindful meditation, breathing, and restoration and would love to be able to extend that to you.
